Joanne Howarth AAT, ACCA

Client Services Manager

I have been working in the accounting sector since 2012. I completed my AAT qualification in 2014 and then went on to study ACCA from there. I became a fully qualified certified chartered accountant in 2017.

I worked in industry as an Assistant Management accountant for a number of years and worked my way up to Management accountant, which provided me with experience in a commercial environment that I use daily to assist our clients with their business.

As Client Services Manager, I oversee the personal tax returns and specialise in the cryptocurrency side of the accounts. I am always available to help clients understand the accounting treatment of cryptocurrency and how these are taxed at the end of the year.

Outside of work: I have a 2-year-old daughter who is constantly keeping me on my toes, we love going out for walks and spending time with our families.

I also love reading and Latin and Ballroom dancing!

Favourite band: Muse, I have loved them since 2003 when their Absolution album came out!

Favourite film: Any old musical such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers or Carousel – definitely old before my time!

My go-to comfort-binge TV show: Friends! I have probably watched the whole series about 10 times now.
