MONDAY MORNING BLUES

I read an article the other day that said, according to research, 26% of employees feel dread and apprehension the day before they were due to go back to work after a day or weekend off.

What a sad state of affairs.

But do you know what’s worse? I don’t think it’s just employees who feel that way.

I’ve known business owners who’ve felt the same way – worn down by events in their business which they believed were beyond their control.

But do you know what? In nearly every case, the events were in their control and there was something they can do about it.

So if this sounds familiar, you need to do some tough love bro!

You’ll need to step back and take a long hard look at your business – and now isn’t the time to put on the rose coloured glasses.

Learn how to be your own consultant.

Think what a consultant would ask you and ask yourself the same questions – what are your business’s strengths, weaknesses, its opportunities as well as its obstacles.

Above all, be honest with yourself and ask yourself the hard questions. It’s only you who will lose out if you don’t.

And remember, it’s often the obvious questions which generate the best ideas and the best results…

…take it from someone with a degree in asking the obvious questions!
